Kasbah Angour is a gorgeous boutique hotel & restaurant in a Berber castle in the Atlas Mountains near Marrakech. The Kasbah is perched on a hill-top and has superb panoramic views.

Kasbah Angour is a boutique hotel with 26 rooms & suites. There are four categories:
Adrar Superior Rooms (9 rooms with views across gardens to summits of mountains)
Tower Junior Suites (7 junior suites with multiple views)
Assif Standard Rooms (9 rooms with views across valley to foot-hills beyond)
Angour Deluxe Suite with separate bedroom and Moroccan salon (panoramic views)
Our rooms & suites are beautifully designed with traditional Moroccan materials and a comfortable stay is further assured by under-floor heating and air conditioning:
- Walls in local red sandstone
- Floors in hand-made clay tiles from Meknes
- Joinery in cedar wood from the Middle Atlas
- Ceilings in eucalyptus wood and cane, or plaster
- Locally-made furniture with Berber motifs
The swimming pool is set in the southern gardens and benefits from the views to the summits of the mountains. The pool is not heated and the best months for swimming are April to October.
Kasbah Angour has 10 acres of gardens to enjoy. They contain an wonderful mix of plants and trees, including native mountain species. There are many different areas to explore.
The southern gardens are planted with flower beds, trees & lawn. There are extensive terraces where you can enjoy the sunshine. You can stroll across the lawn and enjoy the delightful vistas.
The northern side of the Kasbah has formal gardens, with rose and other flower beds, low hedges and fruit trees. There is a wonderful courtyard bordered by a pergola for al fresco dining. There are also several stone terraces where you can look across the Sidi Fares valley.
The hill-side is planted with almond trees on the upper slopes and olive trees on the lower slopes. And we must not forget the herb and vegetable garden to the north-east of the Kasbah.
Le Grand Atlas Restaurant
Le Grand Atlas Restaurant is open for lunch and dinner to both guests and non-residents.
We use fresh, seasonal produce sourced from our own gardens and local suppliers. We offer a variety of Moroccan and Mediterranean themed specialities with the accent firmly on wonderfully flavoured, healthy and colourful dishes. Please see example Menu.
We cater for vegetarians and are happy to adjust our dishes for those with special dietary requirements.
Moroccan food is not "hot" to taste but is subtley spiced with ginger, cumin, saffron, paprika, cinnamon, garlic, coriander & parsley. Moroccan dishes include:
Tajines - meat and/or vegetables slow-cooked and named after the conical earthenware pot in which the dish is cooked.
Couscous - thrice-steamed, fine semolina served with vegetables & meat or poultry.
Charcoal grills - marinated meat, poultry & fish cooked over the red-hot embers.
Soups - including Moroccan harira with lamb, tomatoes & chickpeas.'
Salads - light and delicious, Moroccan salads use tasty & colourful fresh vegetables.
