Day 2 : Tombs & Temples
After breakfast it’s time to explore the West Bank including the Valley of the Kings and Queens. To start we visit the tombs of Tutankhamun and Ramses III, the amount of Hieroglyphics are overwhelming. Next we stop by the 3400 year old Colossi of Memnon depicting pharaoh Amenhotep III in a seating position and finally the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut where we jump on a rickety cart to take us up the long entrance to the huge temple. Back to Luxor for lunch and afternoon relaxing by the Nile before dinner at Sofra Restaurant.
Day 3 : East Bank
Another busy day and more temples to see this time on the East Bank. First stop Luxor Temple, right in the middle of Luxor with the locals bustling past going about their everyday business. Next is awe inspiring Karnak Temple with its giant looming columns, rows of sphinxes and beautifully preserved colours. After lunch we jump on board a felucca to sail around Banana Island. We grab an early dinner before returning to Karnak Temple for the Sound and Light Show.
